PRESS RELEASE

PEMFI warmly thanks the Region of Attica for demonstrating in practice the concept of health solidarity by distributing a large number of masks and table antiseptics, without exception, to all of Attica’s elderly accommodation structures.

We all know that these structures will have to continue their efforts in the fight against the pandemic, perhaps for several months more and they are certainly the last to return to the previous normality.

In this long road it is very important to feel the state as a partner and helper of this effort and for the first time in the last 40 years not distinguish between for-profit and non-profit elderly care units.

One word sums up what happened this week, and that is efficiency. With the personal interest of the Regional Governor Mr. Patoulis, any bureaucratic difficulties were overcome in a short time and the idea was implemented within 3 days.

It is an act that we ask to find imitators in the other Regions and we hope that with this sense of cooperation the final report will find us with minimal losses.
